Jim Schurman has been providing food safety, sanitation, and hygiene solutions to his clients for over 40 years. As a pioneer and innovator, Jim has been instrumental in the development of much of the equipment, products and industry best practices that are accepted as today’s global standards in Food Safety and Sanitation.
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Dan is an experienced executive and Chief Executive Officer for Chemstar Corporation where he is responsible for day to day operations and it’s continued strategic growth. Most recently, Dan was President of Foodbuy where his leadership was key to their strategic growth. Prior to joining Foodbuy, Dan worked successfully for 24 years in sales, sales management and strategic projects for Coca-Cola North America, rising to the position of Vice President for National Accounts. In 2002, Dan was instrumental in the formation of Coca-Cola Bottler Sales & Services, LLC, where he and his colleagues built this new division of Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc. into a cutting-edge e-commerce and procurement organization for 75 franchised bottlers in North America. As Vice President for Customer Business Solutions, Dan led the development and deployment of e-commerce solutions for the country’s leading national retailers and foodservice operators resulting in Dan’s promotion to President of Coca-Cola Bottler Sales and Services, LLC. Dan graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.

Tom is a long-time industry veteran spending the last thirty plus years in the food retail and hospitality sectors in numerous senior positions. At Chemstar, he is responsible for Sales, Marketing and Customer Development. Most recently, Tom was SVP/General Manager of Sterilox Fresh, an industry leading perishable preservation provider to leading supermarkets across the US which was purchased by Chemstar in 2016.
Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President/COO of the DSI Corporation a global provider of equipment and merchandising solutions to retail and foodservice. Tom was also President of Bakers Aid the leading bakery equipment manufacturer, a division of the Hobart Corporation. He is a graduate of UAB in Birmingham with a BS in Business.
VICE PRESIDENT FOOD SAFETY & REGULATORY AFFAIRS
Jill has over 30 years of experience in food safety, food regulation and veterinary public health. Her fields of expertise include food safety and security, food microbiology, epidemiology, foodborne diseases, public health and food policy and regulation. Previously, she worked at the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) for fifteen years in Washington, D.C. as the Senior Vice President of Food Safety Programs where she provided support and guidance to FMI retail and wholesale members in all areas of food safety, science and regulatory compliance.
Prior to FMI, she worked at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) as a Deputy Administrator where she was responsible for a wide variety of food safety activities including outbreak investigations, recalls and public health policy. She provided executive-level scientific and technical leadership under four Administrations. She was responsible for creating and supervising the first FSIS Office of Science and Public Health. She collaborated with the Centers for Disease Control in developing the Food Net system for tracking foodborne illness in the United States. She began her USDA career as a Supervisory Veterinary Medical Officer and advanced through numerous position including National Disease Correlator, Regional Director of Poultry Inspection Operations, International Programs Director of Imports & Exports for the SE Region and Deputy for the National Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points Program.
Dr. Hollingsworth served as a Captain in the US Air Force Reserves as part of the Biomedical Science Corps and has served on numerous government and private sector committees including the Conference for Food Protection and the National Meat and Poultry Advisory Committee. Dr. Hollingsworth has a BS degree in agriculture and received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia.
VP, NATIONAL SERVICE
Dan Barden is the Vice President of National Service responsible for providing leadership and accountability for the performance of the national customer service operations team. He is responsible for ensuring Chemstar delivers a high level of food safety and sanitation services that exceeds our customers evolving needs and requirements.
Dan is an Atlanta, GA native and graduate of Georgia State University. He has spent his career mainly in Georgia and Texas, first working for The Coca-Cola Company 23 years. Since then he has held executive level positions in manufacturing and distribution companies for foodservice industry products. He has an extensive background in customer service on a national scale and team leadership skills, instrumental in servicing customers beyond their expectations.
Since 2005, Dr. Su leads Product Development, Quality Control, and EPA Registrations for Chemstar Corporation. As a Ph.D. in Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry from Baylor University, Dr. Su holds two patents. Prior to joining Chemstar, Dr. Su held the position of Director of Research & Development for SiShield Technologies, Inc. Before SiShield, he held a similar position at BioShield Technologies. In each organization, Dr. Su led Product Development, Manufacturing Control, EPA Registrations, and Asian Market Development. Dr. Su began his career in the commercial chemical sector by working as a Research Chemist for Zep/Enforcer Products. While at Zep, his research led to the development of the Home Depot line of products.
